Objet Essentiel .0054 is conceived as a single saturated monolith — a 3.6-metre cast-resin dining surface drawn from one continuous colour bath, balanced quietly on two rectangular block pedestals. The piece reads as a long horizontal field of pigmented translucency anchored to the floor by two architectural feet held in from the ends. The top is a 15-centimetre slab of pigmented cast resin. 360 centimetres in width and 120 centimetres in depth, finished to a soft translucent glow that lets the pigment carry tonal depth across the long surface. The two pedestals measure 55 centimetres in width and 33 centimetres in depth, set inward from the corners so the slab reads as a cantilevered horizon. The material is solid pigmented resin, hand-cast in a single pour to keep the colour continuous through the entire body of the piece. Edges are hand-polished to a satin-soft finish; the surface holds light rather than reflecting it, giving the long horizon of the top a quiet inner luminosity. The defining gesture is colour-as-architecture — the piece is issued in two saturated colourways: Amber and Blush. Each cast monolith carries the colour as its material rather than as surface treatment. The pigment reads differently across the day; the table changes weight with the light it sits in, becoming more like a long pigmented stone than a finished joinery surface.
