A study in scale and the grace of stone, Linea Prima .0045 is conceived as a long horizon held above two grounded masses — a 3.50-metre slab of Verde Guatemala marble on two solid end-block legs. Two monolithic blocks meet the floor square. One long slab rests across them, the top oversailing each leg slightly so a clean shadow registers below. Nothing taps; every face stays on plane. Verde Guatemala marble is a deep, foresty serpentine — a forest green mottled with quartz veining and lighter passages. The faces are honed and lightly waxed, soft to the eye. The white veining surfaces and draws the eye the length of the table. Look close at the leg-to-slab joints. Stone sits on stone with no mediator — no metal collar, no shim, no chamfer. A clean shadow line beneath the slab is the only ornament on the piece.
